Water management, landscape and urban planning are facing the mammoth task of redesigning the land in such a way that water is retained regionally for longer (storage) and also drains away more slowly (flood protection). The lecture will focus not only on the transformation of municipalities into so-called ‘sponge cities’, but also on methods and technologies for recycling wastewater, which is then available as service water and helps to conserve valuable drinking water resources. Admission is free.
